Does Sharing Spellwork Online Weaken Its Power?

Yes it most definitely can, and here's why:

1. Energetic Exposure: A lot of spiritual traditions view spaces-anything from a tabernacle or altar to your simple spell space-private and filled with very personal and intense energy. You're essentially diluting or even altering the power of the spell by exposing it to an outside force, like a camera or a viewing public. Some believe that there are certain energies within nature that are actually dispersed or weakened upon being seen or documented.

2. Disruption of Intent: So many spells are based on concentrated intention. The act of taking a picture may disrupt that focus, perhaps turning energy from the spell to the act of documentation. This shift in attention could affect the outcome of your work.

3. Vulnerability to Outside Influence: Sharing images of spellwork is believed by many to invite unwanted exterior energies such as skepticism, jealousy, or even counter-magic. The very act of anyone else setting eyes on the image may unconsciously or even consciously project their energy toward the image in a manner that interferes with your intention.

4. Spiritual Boundary Crossing: Many traditions believe that capturing sacred work in any form bridges the physical and spiritual realms, which can invite entities or energies into the space that are best left uninvited. This may not necessarily be a negative thing but could complicate the energy flow.
